Game On! Program

The Game On! Program is designed to introduce and enhance learning for high school students about sports officiating. Sports Officials Care coordinates interactive sports drills run by the pros to high schools across the country. Our engaging, fast-paced drills teach kids about the industry on the fields, courts and diamonds.

We follow that up with a lunch-and-learn session where kids get to ask the pros about their career journeys, taking the next step toward working as officials and general sports officiating questions.

Sports Officials Care has run these programs at high schools across the country featuring professionals who have worked in the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, NCAA and more. The goal is get the students excited about sports officiating but also to humanize officials and help reduce verbal and physical abuse against officials, which, sadly, has become part of the fabric of youth sports.

We provide these programs FREE of charge.

“We are thrilled to have professional sports officials who have worked games in the NFL, NCAA and professional soccer who are taking time out to introduce high school students to sports officiating and get a better understanding of what it takes to be an official,” Sports Officials Care Executive Director Jennifer Skolochenko-Platt said. “There is a national shortage of sports officials, and through these clinics, we are working to motivate the next generation to get on the field.”
